This was really good - used it for the first time Thanksgiving 2012 - our turkey was really moist
- 1 gallon vegetable broth (I used 1/2 gallon broth, 1/2 gallon apple juice)
- 1 cup sea salt (I used kosher salt)
- 1 Tablespoon dried crushed rosemary
- 1 Tablespoon dried sage
- 1 Tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 Tablespoon dried savory
- 1 gallon ice water
Primal Strawberry-Banana Pie Recipe

- 1 ½ c. almond flour
- ¼ c. melted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon (not sure you can taste this, but what the heck)
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 c. coconut milk (I used full-fat)
- 2 cups medium strawberries
- dried, unsweetened coconut for sprinkling, if desired
Meatball Cassoulet

- 2 15 ounce can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 1 12 ounce package frozen cooked Italian meatballs, thawed
- 8 ounces cooked smoked turkey sausage or Polish sausage, halved lengthwise and sliced
- 1 cup finely chopped carrot
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Creamy, Chunky, Cauliflower-Bacon Soup

- 1 -1 large cauliflower, steamed
- 1 -1 small onion, minced and sautéed
- 2 -2 or more strips of good quality bacon, cooked and chopped
- -liquid to thin the soup- cream, chicken stock, water or even coconut milk will do. If you use water or stock, I suggest adding a bit of butter to add more fat.
- -chopped Italian flat leaf parsley (as much as you like- I like a lot!)
- - salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste
- -optional but awesome: smoked paprika, to taste
Jalapeno Buttered Corn

- 2 jalapeno chiles
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley leaves
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 ears fresh corn, husks and silks removed
- 1 cup crumbled queso fresco cheese*
- *Queso fresco is a fresh cheese found at Latin markets. A mild feta could be substituted.
Spicy Snapper

- Spices:
- 4 red snapper filets
- ground cumin, garlic powder, ground chili pepper, cracked black pepper, and sea salt (optional)
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 sweet onion, chopped
- 1/2 anaheim pepper, chopped
- jalapeno pepper, minced (depending on your heat thresh-hold)... I only used half!
- 1/2 to 3/4 can diced tomatoes (organic, low sodium)
- 2 T lime juice
- 1/2 C fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped
Pot Roast with Chipotle-Fruit Sauce

really good & really easy to make - I was able to find a dried fruit mix at Sprouts that had no added sugar
- 1 3 pound boneless beef chuck pot roast
- 2 teaspoons garlic-pepper seasoning
- 1 7 ounce package mixed dried fruit
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Stuffed Eggplant

This is a zoned recipe that makes 2 meals consisting of 3P, 2
- 1 eggplant, inside scooped out and chopped, leaving 1/4 to 1/2 shell (2C)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (9F)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups onion, chopped (1C)
- 6 blocks chicken sausage (if uncooked, remove from casing), chopped (42 grams of protein)
- 1 cup fennel, chopped (1C)
- 1 cup mushrooms, chopped (1/4C)
- 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce (3/4C)
- seasonings (soy sauce, salt, pepper, onion powder, basil, oregano, ...)
- small amount of shredded cheese for garnishment
Rosemary Porterhouse Steaks with Olive Mayo

- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup pitted Kalamata olives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 porterhouse steaks, cut 1 to 1-1/4-inch thick (about 1 lb. each)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt or salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Snipped fresh rosemary (optional)
Beasty BBQ Sauce

- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 1 white onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, diced
- 1 6 ounce can of tomato paste
- 1 cup beef stock
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp cayenne
- 1 can of diced pineapple (8 ounces for not to sweet, 20 ounce for sweeter)
