  • 3 C dry macaroni
  • 1-2 C grated cheese (I prefer old cheddar)
  • Butter or margarine
  • 1 C milk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Boil macaroni until cooked, then drain. In a casserole dish, layer macaroni with layers of cheese, then dot with butter. Repeat this pattern, ending with cheese on top. In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg, salt and pepper. Pour mixture over macaroni and cheese. Bake until cheese is melted and milk and egg mixture is cooked, about 30 minutes.
