Apple-Caramel Apple Crumb Pie

- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 6 tbls. butter, melted
- 3 lbs. med-large Granny smith apples (about 6)
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 sheet refrig. pie crust
- 1/2 c. storebought caramel sundae topping
- vanilla ice cream, optional

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In bowl, combine 1 c. flour, brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, and salt. with fork, stir in butter; with hands squeeze mixture together to form crumbs. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Peel, core and thinly slice apples. In large bowl, combine apple slices, granulated sugar and remaining 1/3 c. flour and 1 tsp. cinnamon; with spoon, toss until mixture is juicy.
On surface, unroll pie crust; fit into 9" pie pan and flute edge. Spoon half of apple mixture into crust; drizzle and spread caramel topping over apples, then arrange remaining apples over top. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over filling.
Place pie on rimmed baking sheet; transfer to oven. Bake 1 hour, 30 mins., or until top is golden brown and apples are tender, Cool on rack, If desired, serve with vanilla ice cream.
