Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz) carton plain yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded Italian Blend cheese
  • 3/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teas. seasoned salt
  • 1/4 cup snipped fresh basil or flat leaf parsley
  • Vegetable crudités and/or crackers

Preparation

Step 1

Line a yogurt strainer, sieve or a small colander with 3 layers of cheesecloth or a clean paper coffee filter. Suspend lined container over a bowl. Spoon in yogurt. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight.

Remove yogurt cheese from strainer; discard liquid. Transfer to a large bowl. Stir inn cheese, onion, garlic and seasoned salt. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Stir in basil or parsley. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve with vegetables and/or crackers
