Ingredients
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed (398 ml/14 oz)
- 3 tbsp. creamy raw almond butter
- 1/4 cup natural plant-based milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tbsp. oat flour
- 3/4 cup date sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- pinch salt (omit for healthier version)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 tbsp. raw cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp. 80% vegan dark chocolate chips (sugar free)

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
2. Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips in a food processor or high-powered blender. Blend/process until completely smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
3. Drop batter by generous spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet. Flatten, the bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes. Gently transfer cookies to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Note: Date sugar is essentially just dehydrated dates which are then ground to a powder, so it is still a whole food. These cookies can therefore be considered "sugar free".
