Ingredients

  • 450 gm lentils or split peas
  • 2 carrots chopped fine
  • 2 onions chopped fine
  • 7 oz tomatoe sauce
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 5 cloves garlic -whole
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 3 bay leaves
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 Tbsp wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp rosemary

Preparation

Step 1

8 cups water, lentils - boil 10 min. Strain and add new water - cook 1 hour with onions, carrots & garlic. Add oil, tomatoe sauce, oregano, 1/2 cup water, rosemary in a bag, bay leaves, 1 Tbsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Cook 10 min and add vinegar
