  • salt and pepper
  • 3 lb. beef chuck cut into 1 in pieces
  • 3 lg. carrots
  • 1 med onion sliced
  • 6 sliced. bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 10 oz beef broth
  • 2 c. red wine or burgundy
  • 1 T. tomato Paste
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 3 springs fresh thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms sliced

Step 1

Coat been in flour seasoned with salt & pepper. Sear beef in skillet on stove top. Place meat in Crock Pot - add remaining ingredients, cover and cook 8 to 10 hours on low or 5-7 hours on High
can be served over egg noodles.
