Ingredients
- 1 cup corn meal
- 3 tbs flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk (more or less)
- Mix all ingredients and beat well.

Preparation
Step 1
Heat balck iron skillet with 2 tsp oil (bacon grease) and dust with 1 tsp or so of corn meal and let brown. Pour in batter let bubbles come to top and back in 450 degree oven for 20=30 or until firm and brown.
