Cream of Broccoli soup

Ingredients

  • 6 tbls butter
  • 1 + tbls finely chopped onion
  • 5 tbls flour
  • 1 pkg Knorr's alfredo sauce (powdered)
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • dash of black pepper
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped broccoli, defrosted

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter on med-high heat and add onion; saute 'til clear. Add flour and Knorr's alfredo sauce. Gradually add broth, milk, cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add broccoli and puree in blender. Return to heat to cook. Serve with crunchy french bread.
