Apple Cinnamon Cake

Ingredients

• Sauce:
• 2 cups apples
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 cup flour
• 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp soda
• 1/2 cup raisins or nuts
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 Tb flour
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and dice the apples. Let sugar and apples stand until sugar is dissolved. Add eggs, sift in flour, cinnamon, and soda. Add nuts and or raisins. Bake in greased 9 x 9 inch pan at 375 for 40 minutes.

For Sauce:
Cook first four ingredients, about 5-6 minutes, until clear. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour over cake while cake is still warm.
