Beef Stew

  • 1 cup flour 1 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp pepper 3 lbs beef 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt 2 tsp water 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 onion 1 tsp rosemary 2 bay leaves
  • 3 large potatoes 4 carrots 4 stalks celery
  • 2 tsp cornstarch



Step 1

Combine flour, garlic, salt and pepper. Place beef in mix

Heat oil in large pot over Med heat; brown beef and remove to plate lined with paper towel. Add onions to remaining oil and brown. Pour broth into pot. Stir in rosemary, thyme, and bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper. Return beef to pot. Bring to boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer one hour

Add potatoes, carrots, and celery to pot. whisk together water and cornstarch and add to stew. Cover and simmer 45 min
