Ingredients

  • 5 medium all purpose apples, pared, cored and sliced
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp. cold butter or margarine, divided
  • 1-1/2 cups biscuit baking mix, divided
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In medium bowl, combine apples, milk and cinnamon.
2. In large bowl, cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup biscuit mix until crumbly. Stir in apple mixture. Pour into greased 9" square baking pan.
3. In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup biscuit mix and brown sugar; cut in 2 tbsp. butter until crumbly; add nuts. Sprinkle evenly over apple mixture.
4. Bake 1 hour or until golden. Serve warm wiht ice cream, if desired. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
