Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tbs grated lemon rind
- 1 Tbs fresh lemon juice
- 1/3 cup minced fresh lemon basil leaves
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation
Step 1
beat butter at med. until fluffy
add 3/4 cups sugar, beat well
add egg and next 3 ingredients, beat well
combine flour,baking soda, and salt
add gradually to butter mix
beat until blended
cover and chill 1 hr.
shape dough into 1" balls, place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet
flatten slightly
bake at 350 for 10-12 min. or until golden
remove to wire racks to cool
