Preparation

Step 1

To make the filling:
1. Melt SNICKERS® Bars in the top of a double boiler. When the candy is soft enough to shape, spread it along the bottom and sides of the pie crust.
2. Toss the apple slices with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract.
3. Pile the apples into the pie crust. Set aside.
To make the crumb topping:
4. In a large mixing bowl, blend the flour, sugar and nutmeg. Using your fingers, rub the butter into the flour mixture until it becomes coarse and crumbly.
5. Sprinkle the topping over the apples, covering the top completely.
6. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Once baked, remove pie from the oven and drizzle SMUCKER’S® MILKY WAY® Caramel Topping over the crust.
8. Cool for 20 minutes before serving.
Tip: It’s always nice to serve vanilla ice cream with hot apple pie.
