Ingredients

  • 1/2 CUP FLOUR
  • 3 TABLESP FLOUR
  • 1 TEASP SALT
  • 1/4 TEASP GROUND PEPPER
  • 2 LB BEEF OR SIRLOIN TIPS
  • 1/2 CUP CHOPPED SHALLOTS OR GREEN ONIONS
  • 1 CAN BEEF BROTH
  • 1 SPLASH WORCHESTERSHIRE SAUCE
  • 1 SPLASH A-1 SAUCE
  • 2 TEASP KETCHUP
  • 1/4 CUP DRY RED WINE
  • 3 TABLESP FLOUR
  • BUTTERED NOODLES OR RICE

Preparation

Step 1

1- COMBINE 1/2 CUP OF FLOUR AND SALT AND PEPPER. TOSS WITH BEEF TO COAT THOROUGHLY. PLACE IN CROCK POT
2- ADD SHALLOTS OR ONIONS TO CROCK POT.
3- MIX BEEF BROTH, WORCHESTERSHIRE SAUCE, A-1 SAUCE, AND KETCHUP. POUR INTO CROCK POT. STIR WELL.
4- COOK ON LOW FOR 8-10 HOURS. ONE HOUR BEFORE SERVING, COOK ON HIGH.
5- MAKE A PASTE WITH RED WINE + 3 TABLESP FLOUR. STIR INTO THE CROCK POT, MIXING WELL.
6- COVER AND COOK UNTIL THICKENED.
7- SERVE WITH BUTTERED NOODLES OR RICE.
