Easy Smothered Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork loin chops, 1/2 inch thick (5 oz each), trimmed of fat
  • 1 can Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy portabella mushroom cooking sauce
  • 1/3 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup real crumbled bacon (from 4.3-oz pouch)

Preparation

Step 1

1 BROWN pork chops for 4 minutes turning once sprinkled with salt and pepper in 12-inch skillet with 1.T oil over medium heat. Remove from skillet; set aside.
2 STIR in cooking sauce and 1/4 cup of the green onions to skillet; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 2 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens.
3 RETURN pork to skillet. Simmer uncovered 8 to 10 minutes over medium heat, turning once, until pork is no longer pink in center.
4 SPRINKLE with bacon and remaining green onions.
