Grilled Bananas

Ingredients

  • 2 T dark rum
  • 2 T honey
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 bananas, peel on, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 pint ice cream of your choice, or frozen yogurt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat a grill.

In a bowl, blend rum, honey, and cinnamon.

Over direct medium heat, grill bananas, peel still on, cut side down for 3 minutes or until bananas develop visible grill marks.

Turn bananas, and brush with rum honey mixture. Continue grilling, peel side down, for 5 minutes, or until bananas are cooked through, with grill lid closed.

Remove, discard peel, and serve immediately after another brush of the rum honey mixture, and topping with ice cream.
