Chipped Beef on Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 tbls butter
  • 4 tbls flour
  • 2 cups hot milk
  • 1 pkg chipped beef cut into strips
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium size pot, melt butter and stir in flour.
Cook over med-low hear for about 2 minutes until smooth, white paste. Add hot milk gradually and cook, stirring constantly for about 3-4 minutes or until smooth and thickened. Stir in beef, salt and pepper, stirring constantly until heated through. Serve immediately over toast or biscuits.
(Optional serving suggestion. Take 2 pieces of toast and put a fried egg on top of each piece and pour some gravy on top)
