Ingredients

  • cups flour

  • 1

    tsp salt

  • 2

    T milk

  • cup oil

  • 8

    Macintosh apples, peeled and sliced

  • ½

    cup sugar

  • 2

    T flour

  • 2

    T cinnamon

  • 1

    stick margarine

  • ½

    cup flour

  • ½

    cup sugar

Directions

Mix the first four ingredients in a 9" pie pan. Put the flour in and make a well in the middle, add the salt, milk and oil and mix with a fork until moistened. Push the crust up the sides of the dish and flatten on the bottom. Peel and slice apples and heap on the crust. Mix together sugar, flour and cinnamon and pour on top of apples. Soften margarine and mix with flour and sugar. Use a pastry blender. Crumble the topping over the apples. Place pie in large brown grocery bag and staple the end shut. Put the pie on a cookie sheet and bake at 425 for 1 hour.
