Ingredients
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 3 to 4 lb. cut up chicken
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 lb. uncooked medium shrimp, peeled

Preparation
Step 1
Combine salt and pepper; rub over chicken. In a skillet, brown chicken on all sides in butter. Transfer to slow cooker. In a bowl combine onion, tomato sauce, broth, garlic and basil; pour over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until chicken pieces run clear. Stir in shrimp. cover and cook on high for 20 to 30 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.
