- 1 pound orzo
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 ¼ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Step 1
1. Cook orzo pasta about 8 minutes and keep about 1 cup pasta water.
2. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Add onions and garlic until tender. Add tomatoes and cook until tender, about 8 minutes. Stir in cream and peas. Add orzo and toss to coat. Remove the skillet from heat. Add Parmesan cheese and toss. Stir until sauce coats the pasta thickly, adding enough of the reserved pasta water to create a creamy consistency.
