- 4 Peppers or Onions
- 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
- Olive oil
- Bread rounds
- Garlic clove

Step 1
Seed and slice peppers or onions thinly and cook slowly in a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar until very soft, about 1 hour. If using onions, add 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Stir occasionally, peppers should almost melt. Season with salt and pepper. Add more oil or vinegar if they look dry. Grill or broil bread rounds, then rub with cut clove of garlic. Spoon melted onions or peppers over bread.
