  • 1 1/2 cups beet liquid (from boiling beets in preparation)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 24 whole cloves
  • 3 tbsp. catsup
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash salt



Step 1

Scrub and wash beets (enough for 6 cups sliced)
Mix all ingredients together in large saucepan.
Thinly slice cooked beets and and add to mixture.
Boil for 3 minutes. Cool and refrigerate. Enjoy!
