Steaks with Balsamic Onions

Ingredients
- 4 (1 inch) steaks
- 2 teas. EVOO
- Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. EVOO
- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 1/2 teas. EVOO
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 small white boiling onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup dry cooking sherry
- 1 cup canned tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Step 1
Heat a heavy grill pan over high heat. Wipe hot grill with EVOO. Season steaks with seasoning and grill. Remove to platter and let rest.
Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add oil and onions to cook, stirring occasionally, 10-12 minutes, until onions are soft and sweet. Add balsamic vinegar to the pan and turn onions in vinegar until it has turned a deep brown, 3-5 minutes.
Heat small saucepan over medium heat. Add oil, garlic, and onions and saute 5 minutes. Add sherry to pan and combine with onions. Stir in tomato sauce and Worcestershire and season with black pepper.
To serve, top steaks with onions and drizzle a little steak sauce down over top.
