Ingredients
- flour 3 tablespoons
- salt 1/2 teaspoon
- pepper 1/4 teaspoon
- beef stew meat 1 pound cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- olive oil 2 tablespoons
- tomatoes diced 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can italian
- tomato sauce 1 (8-ounce) can
- red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons
- Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons
- garlic 3 cloves minced
- oregano 1 teaspoon dried
- water 3 cups hot
- potatoes 4 mediums peeled, and cubed
- carrots 6 mediums sliced
- turnips 2 mediums peeled, and cubed
- zucchini 1 medium halved lengthwise and sliced
- onion 1 medium chopped
- green chilies 1 (4-ounce) can chopped
- sugar 2 tablespoons

Preparation
Step 1
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper.
Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat.
In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, brown beef in oil.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and oregano.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat and vegetables are tender.
