  • 2 1/2 cups Sliced or diced cooked beets
  • 2 t Cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 T Butter
  • Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cornstarch and sugar together in 1 quart saucepan. Stir in vinegar and water, cook and stir over low heat until thickened. Add butter, beets, extra salt if necessary, reheat thoroughly
