Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup unsalted butter (1/4 stick)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbs banana liqueur
  • 2 bannanas cut in halve lenghwise, than halved
  • 2 Tbs dark rum
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a flambe pan or skillet. Place on low heat on a alchol burner or on top of the stove, and cook, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Stir in bannana liqueur, than place the bannanas in the pan. When the bannana sections soften and begains to brown, carefully add the rum. Continue to cook until the rum is hot, then tip the pan slightly to ignite the rum. When the flames subsides, lift the bannanas out of the pan and place on 2 plates. Place ice cream scoops on plate and generously scoop warm sauce over ice cream. Serve immediately.
