  • 1 medium head cauliflower, trimmed, broken into florets
  • 1/2 cup basting oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (about 2 oz) Pecorino Romano grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toss cauliflower florets with ¼ cup of basting oil in braising pan; add water. Cover; bake 40 minutes on center rack of oven. Combine bread crumbs, remaining ¼ cup basting oil, and cheese in small bowl. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture evenly over cauliflower; bake 10-15 minutes, uncovered, until liquid is evaporated and crumb topping is lightly browned.
