Ingredients

  • PIE FILLING
  • 9 inch glass pie plate - I use a 10 inch and just put more apples
  • 8-9 Granny Smith Apples
  • 2 tsps Cinnamon
  • 1 tablesppon sugar
  • PIE CRUST
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

FILLING
1) Peel and Core apples and put into a plastic bag with the sugar and cinnamon and shake bag to coat. If you like more cinnamon, add more cinnamon

CRUST
1) In a saucepan, melt butter, add sugar and flour, unbeaten egg, salt, and nuts.
2) Mix well and pour over apples.
3) Bake at 325 degree oven for 45 minutes or until apples are soft when pricked with a for.

NOTE: DO NOT USE TIN PIE PLATES
