Caramel Apple Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. cold butter
  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker oatmeal cookie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. finely chopped, peeled apple
  • 3/4 c. caramel topping
  • 1/4 c. flour

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat over to 350. Spray bottom of 13 x 9 pan with cooking spray.

2. In a large bowl, cut butter into cookie mix using a fork. Stir in egg until mixture is crumbly.

3. Reserve 1 1/2 c. cookie mixture. Press remaining cookie mixture into bottom of pan. Bake 15 min. Sprinkle apple evenly over crust.

4. In a small bowl, mix caramel topping & flour; drizzle over apples. Sprinkle reserved cookie mixture over apples.

5. Bake 20-25 min or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 2 hours.
