Preparation

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugars and salt. Add the warm milk and the 1 stick of melted butter on low speed until blended. Add about HALF of the flour, one cup at a time. Add the yeast, mixing well; stir in remaining flour. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let double in size. For topping, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl. Have the 1 cup of melted butter ready in a small bowl. In another medium bowl combine, raisins and apples, toss with some of the cinnamon and granulated sugar mixture to coat, then set aside.

Line a round cake pan or two loaf pans with parchment paper. Form a bit of dough into a 2-inch ball. Dip the ball into the butter mixture, roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then place in prepared pan. Repeat until pan bottom is covered. Place about half of the apple-raisin mixture over the balls in pan. Continue topping with dough balls.

Once finished, top with the remaining apple-raisin mixture, sprinkle with any remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture, and bake, at 350 degrees, for about an hour. Place a baking sheet under cake pan to catch drips. Make drizzle by adding about a teaspoon of milk at a time to the powdered sugar, to get a thick icing. Drizzle warm bread with icing mixture
