Apple Danish Bars

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 egg separated
- Milk
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes
- 4 cups cut apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour and salt in bowl. Cut in margarine.
Beat egg yolk and add enough milk to make 2/3 cup liquid. Add to flour mixture and mix well. Roll half the dough out and place on botton of cookie sheet. Spread cornflakes and sprinkle apples on top. Sprinke with sugar and cinnamon. Roll out remaining dough and place on top. Moisten edges and pinch top to bottom. Beat egg white until stiff and brush on top.
Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Ice while warm with 1 cup icing sugar, 1 tbsp water and a dash of vanilla.
