Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 16 oz can tomatoes
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • celery salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 lb shrimp - cooked, peeled and deveined

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion, green pepper and celery in butter. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Simmer 40 minutes. Add shrimp just before serving. Serve over cooked rice.
