Ingredients
- 6 Bartlett pears, cut in half and cored
- 2 cups ruby port
- 1 cup red wine (cabernet sauvignon or zinfandel)
- 2 vanilla beans split in half
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1-2 cups white sugar
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients and simmer, add pears and cook until tender and sauce reduces to a syrup. Chill pears and leave in liquid until needed.
