Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons soft margarine, cold
- 1/4 cup raisins or dried cherries
- 3/4 cup buttermilk, or low fat yogurt

Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir together very well.
With pastry cutter, cut in margarine until it is in tiny bits. Stir in raisins.
Pour buttermilk over flour mixture and stir until a rough batter is formed. Drop batter in 10 mounds on non-stick or parchments lined baking sheet.
Bake in preheated 425 oven for 12 to 18 minutes until lightly browned.
