Broccoli & Rice Casserole

  • 2 cups cooked rice (not instant)
  • 1 Pkg. chopped broccoli (thawed and drained)
  • 1 8oz. jar cheese whiz
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 small can water chestnuts cut fine
  • 3 Tbls. oleo
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery


Servings 4


Step 1

Saute onion and celery in oleo. Mix all together, but only using 1/3 jar of cheese whiz. Put in casserole. Set remaining jar of cheese whiz in hot water to soften and be poured over top after baking. Bake at 350 uncovered for 40 mins. Can be put together a day ahead and kept in refrigerator.
