Ingredients
- 3 strips thick-sliced bacon, diced
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced tart apple1 1/2 t. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup apple cider
- 2 T sugar
- 2 T. chicken broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 cups shredded green cabbage2 T. chopped fresh parsley

Preparation
Step 1
Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; pour off all but 2 T. drippings
Add onion and apple to skillet; cook over medium heat until softened; 3 - 4 minutes. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
Stir in vinegar, sugar and broth; season with salt and pepper. Add cabbage and toss to wilt, 3 - 4 minutes. Stir in parsley and serve
