Turkey Noodle Casserole

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. egg noodles
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups sliced shallots or thinly sliced onions
  • i cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 c ups milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 tsp. dry tarragon
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 3 cups chopped cooked turkey
  • 1 cup cooked broccoli
  • 6 0z gruyere or swiss cheese
  • 2 tbls lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tbls butter
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook and drain noodles
2. Melt butter in large sauce pan. Add shallots, mushrooms and celery and cook for 5 minutes. Add flour and cook 5 minutes.Add wine and let bubble for a minute. Stir in milk, sour cream, and stock. Add tarragon, bring to a boil then simmer 8 minutes, stirring frequently.
3. Add pasta, cheese, and mustard. Stir in turkey. Pour into casserole dish. Top with bread crumbs and melted butter and a little parmesean.
Bake at 350 about 30-40 minutes.
