Ingredients
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup date pieces
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
- 3 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1-1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1-1/2 cups milk

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pour boiling water on raisins and let stand 10 minutes.
Drain; mix date pipeces with raisins and nuts. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add brown sugar and fruit mixture and mix well. Beat egg into milk; add the mixture.
Pour into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan and let stand 15 minutes.
Bake for 1 hour, 15 minutes.
Cool.
