Ingredients
- 2 uncooked, rolled pie crusts
- 5-6 cups tart apples (cored, peeled, and sliced)
- 3/4-1 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 3/4-1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- Dash of salt

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425˚. Prepare pie crust according to directions on package. Place one crust in 9 inch pie plate. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in apples until covered evenly. Pour ingredients into pie crust adding a dot of butter to the top of mixture. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges and cutting slits in the top of the crust. Bake at 425˚ until crust turns brown.
Tip: Cover edges with strips of foil after 15-20 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
