Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tsp. honey
- 3/4 tsp. salt, optional
- 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce, optional
- 2 large unpeeled cucumbers
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh dill or 1 tsp. dried dill

Step 1
In a large glass or ceramic bowl, combine the water, vinegar, honey, salt, and hot pepper sauce. Mix well.
Thinly slice cucumbers. Add cucumber, red onion, and chopped dill to the marinade. Gently toss until ingredients are well combined.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Let stand for at least 1 hour at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
Just before serving, toss well. Using a slotted spoon, place the cucumbers on serving plates. Serve immediately.
