Apple Roll

This apple roll is amazing, sweet and juicy. So easy to make, and even better the next day!
Ingredients
- 2 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cup apples, peeled and chopped
- Crisco
- milk

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together Flour, baking powder, sugar. Add 1 heaping tbsp Crisco and work in. Add enough milk to make not too dry or sticky (approx 1/2 cup)
Roll out to 1/2" thick on floured surface. Sprinkle with apples, then sprinkle with cinnamon (and a bit of nutmeg if desired - but not sugar)
Roll the whole thing up like a log and cut into 1 1/2 thick pieces, and place in greased pan.
Make simple syrup of 1 1/2 cup sugar, 3 cup water, warm on stove until sugar is melted well, but not boiling. Pour over slices of apple roll and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Double the recipe for large group.
