Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup creamed corn
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 jalapenos

Preparation

Step 1

Mix cornmeal, salt, and baking soda. Add milk, creamed corn, butter, and eggs.
Brown meat, onions, and jalapenos. Drain well.
Pour half of batter into greased dish. Add meat and cheese. Top with remaining batter.
Bake at 400F for 25 minutes.
