Potted Shrimp

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 TBS lemon juice
  • 4 – 5 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 TBS chopped shallots
  • 4 TBS sherry
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Pinch cayenne
  • 1 TBS chopped chives (for garnish)
  • 1 pound very small shrimp (may use canned shrimp)
  • Toasted French bread rounds



Step 1

Put all ingredients but shrimp and chives into pot and heat but DO NOT BOIL or will separate. Add shrimp just before serving. Serve over toasted French bread rounds; garnish with chives.
