Ingredients
- Cabbage
- 1 1b. ground beef
- 1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
- 1 T. rice
- salt and pepper to taste
- Stewed tomatoes
- lemon juice
- sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Cut core out of cabbage. Put in pot and let water boil until cabbage is wilted. Separate leaves.
Prepare meat: 1/2 pkg. onion soup mix, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 T. rice, salt and pepper.
Put small amount of meat on bottom of cabbage leaf and roll from the bottom.
Layer a pot with sauerkraut, stewed tomatoes and meat rolls. Repeat and cover top with tomatoes and sauerkraut. Don't fill the pot too full. Add a little water. Sprinkle with lemon juice, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil and cook slowly for 2 hours. Taste while cooking to see if it's too tart or too sweet.
