Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 whole loaf french bread (sliced thick )
  • 1 granny smith apple ( sliced thin )

Step 1

Combine corn syrup, butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, simmer uncovered for several minutes or until syrup like consistency.

Wisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, salt and cinnamon.

1. Pour syrup mixture in a greased 9 x 13 pan
2. Layer apples on syrup mixture
3. Lay bread on apples
4. Pour egg mixture over all
5. Refridgerate overnight covered
6. Bake at 350 for 1 hour uncovered
