Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Penne Pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage -- (or 1/2 of each)
  • 1 cup onion -- chopped
  • 1 can 15 oz. Contadina Italian style tom. sauce
  • 1 can 14.5 oz. Contadina recipe ready diced tomatoes with Italian herbs
  • 1 can 6 oz. Contadina Italian paste with roasted garlic
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese -- shredded

Preparation

Step 1

Cook pasta according to package; drain. Cook meat and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat, 5 min; drain.
Stir in tomato sauce, undrained tomatoes, tomato paste and 1/2 cup water; cook, stirring occasionally, 10 min.
Layer half pasta, half sauce and half cheese in 13 x 9 baking dish; repeat. Cover and bake in preheated 350 oven for 20 minutes.
