For a lower-fat version of this classic, Grandma used Neufchatel cheese or reduced-fat cream cheese instead of regular cream cheese, and plain nonfat yogurt instead of sour cream.

Ingredients
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt and celery seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Paprika for sprinkling

Preparation
Step 1
1.Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Stir in the sour cream, onion, salt, celery seeds and pepper. Refrigerate for 1 hour or up to 3 days. Sprinkle with paprika.
2.Serve with your favorite dippers such as potato chips and crackers, celery sticks, carrot sticks, cauliflower florets, bell-pepper strips, halved or whole mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, radishes, blanched sugar snaps, blanched green beans and blanched broccoli florets.
