Roast Beef and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water/1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup teriaki sauce/ 1/2 cup teriaki sauce
  • 1 tsp pepper/dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder/dash of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion flakes/dash of onion flakes
  • 3-4 lb rump roast or bottom round roast
  • 5 tbps cornstarch

Preparation

Step 1

Place water in bottom of a roasting pan, then place roast beef on top. Cover with teriaki sauce, pepper, garlic and onion flakes. Place in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, basting occasionally.

Gravy: After beef has roasted 1 1/2 hours, place 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup teriaki sauce in a medium saucepan. Add a dash of pepper, garlic powder and onion flakes. When meat is fully cooked, pour remaining liquid from roasting pan into saucepan with other ingrediants. Bring to a boil, then add cornstarch mixture to slowly to pan to thicken (cornstarch and 1 cup water)
