A gratin is delectably French - which is why these garlic-perfumed tomato halves make such an engaging accompaniment to cream-sauce dishes, such as Linguine with Newburg Sauce.

Ingredients
- 4 med tomatoes, cut in half
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup garlic and herb bread crumbs.
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 T butter, melted
- 1 t bottled crushed garlic

Preparation
Step 1
1) Preheat oven to 450. Line a baking sheet with foil.
2) Place tomato halves, cut sides up, on prepared baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper; set aside.
3) In a small bowl, combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, butter, and garlic. Spoon over tomatoes.
4) Roast tomatoes in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until bread crumbs mixture is golden brown.
